Private Lessons
Private lessons are a great option for the busy lifestyle or the owner that wants that individual time from the trainer.
Whether it is a single session to deal with a specific problem or a group block of lessons to work an entire course, at k9 NorthWest we have you covered. We tailor your lessons around what you want, you're the boss.
Single lessons are great for training through trouble spots. Even wanted your dog to do that one really cool skill you saw once? A single private lesson is the perfect answer.
An 8 week block of private lessons can give you all the learning of a group class on your schedule. Anything you want customized about your course is easily done in private lessons. With complete customizing you're in the driver's seat.
We use private lessons when dealing with behavior issues that are not covered or safe to work on in a group class. Behavior issues including aggression problems can be very complicated and a group setting may not be the most appropriate course of action. This is why we offer the private training at a discount if you buy a block of training lessons.
Single lessons are $45 per hour of training time. If you buy a 4 week private lesson block the price drops to $40 per hour of training time. Better yet if you buy a 6 week block of private lessons the cost drops to $35 per hour of training time. We have a onetime surcharge of $20 to work a second dog at your private lessons on our locations. We will work additional dogs at no extra cost with our "in home" training packages.
Any private lesson or private course can be hosted at one of our locations or in your home. In addition to training prices, there is a $0.35 per mile round trip charge for all "in home" training lessons. We use MapQuest to determine mileage. We do not charge for travel time.
