Stage And Screen Basics
If you are serious about your dog "making it big" on the stage, in commercials, on TV, and even the big screen then is this the start for you! This class is taught by our own Jodie Craigmile. Literally growing up backstage helping and training with the best animals in the business, Jodie can give you every tool you need in this course to start you on your acting journey.
This course builds on foundations built through our other courses and takes learning to the next level. This course focuses on "emotional training". Expressing emotion through body language is critical on stage and film. Would the world cry when lassie hurt her paw if her tail was wagging and her tongue was hanging out? "Emotion training" is the most important thing you must teach before putting your pooch into the acting world. Just as every good human actor must pull out emotions from their audience so must a good dog actor.
This is an 8 week course. Basic through advanced obedience classes must be completed before enrollment. Equivalent training may be accepted with approval of trainer. Intro to trick training and advanced trick training are also required before enrollment there is a maximum of 3 dogs enrolled per course.
